"The Colossians 2:7 class was a great blessing to me. Studying the basics of Christianity in a disciplined way stretched me and helped me to grow.  Going through this Bible study helped me realize how uncomplicated and exciting the Christian life is.  I really enjoyed getting to know my Savior better through this class."
–Peter Knezevich (age 21)

"The Colossians 2:7 class was a wonderful review for me of basic Christian growth. It motivated me to strengthen my daily habits of Bible reading and prayer. As a result of the Scripture memory requirements, I have started writing down individual verses from my daily Bible reading to memorize. Weekly Bible studies stretched me as I worked through them, and encouraged me as I heard what my fellow classmates had learned through their week. It was a joy to pray together about specific requests and see God work." -Christina Terrall (age 19)

Romans 6 Men's Class.

This class was named for the chapter of Romans first studied by them, but their study over the years has covered several books of the Bible such as Titus and Second Peter.  Led by Mr. Ernie Williams, the class includes opening announcements and reading of the week’s missionary letters, prayer time (about 30 minutes), and then a discussion-format Bible study.  This close-knit class has provided needful accountability in areas of life the men have been working on. Men's Prayer Retreat.

We have periodically held overnight prayer retreats with Brother Gerhard Dutoit.  This is a serious time for preaching, prayer, and seeking the Lord.  Those who have attended have found it to be a refreshing time of spiritual renewal and fellowship with the Lord.  “...The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

Ladies' Retreat.

Every two years, we hold ladies’ retreat or conference for the purpose of a time of spiritual refreshment and God-centered fellowship.  Past speakers have included Debi Pryde (see www.debipryde.com), Mrs. Vera Jones (wife of Pastor Frank Jones of Faith Memorial Baptist Church in Richmond, VA), and Mrs. Darlene Wilmoth (missionary to South Africa).  In addition to the speaking sessions, the retreat gives opportunity for informal fellowship during activities such as crafts, games, and outdoor activities. Go To Top

Ladies Missionary Fellowship.

We periodically hold LMF meetings with the wives of visiting missionaries, usually on Friday evenings.  The purpose of this ministry is to encourage the families of missionaries by getting to know them in this informal setting.  The meetings typically include singing, prayer time, testimony by the speaker, and informal fellowship.  In addition, some LMF meetings are spent making craft items, such as wordless book bracelets or cards, for use by our missionaries.  Besides the Friday night meetings, we have held fund-raising efforts to raise money for items such as tracts for missions trips, children’s ministry items, etc.
