Care Groups.

Our church family has been somewhat informally divided into several "Care Groups." Each group has a Care Group leader and an assistant leader, who attempt to organize help for various physical and encouragement needs of those within their group. Care Group leaders also organize fellowship times, which are a time for informally encouraging one another in our Faith, as well as providing an opportunity for getting better acquainted with others in our church family. Certainly we're biased, but we believe that WBC is an exceptionally caring church where folks are passionate about supporting one another.

Family Camp.

Since 1995, WBC has held a family camp during the summer. This is always an enjoyable time of fun and fellowship! Currently held at Canby Grove Conference Center in Canby, the camp includes inspirational preaching, outdoor activities (such as frisbee golf, paintball, and fishing), and a camp craft.

Mother-Daughter Tea.

Alternating every other year with a Ladies Retreat, a Mother-Daughter Tea is held on the Saturday before Mother's Day.

Father-Son Campout.

Fourth of July Church Picnic.

Every year we hold a patriotic service in celebration of Independence day. Held at a local park, and a few times on the church grounds, this picnic includes singing songs remembering our country's Christian heritage, an excellent chicken barbecue, games for all ages, and usually concludes with a softball game. The 4th of July picnic is a highlight in the summer months as a family activity that is looked forward to each year.

Fall Banquet.

Since the early days of the church, Westgate has held an annual Fall Banquet in November. The banquet provides a time for us to meet together as a church family, thanking God for the progress made in the past year and looking ahead to what He has for us in the coming year. Our special speaker gives a message on stewardship. Pastor shares progress made on the building this year, upcoming building projects, and the proposed budget for next year. The Faith Promise card gives members the opportunity to give towards God's work here at WBC. We also highlight our missionaries. In 2005, we began a tradition of producing a play (approximately 40-45 minutes in length) which light-heartedly highlights principles of good stewardship. Our past plays have been "The Steward of Oz" (2005), "The Sound of Stewardship" (2006), "A Spoonful of Stewardship" (2007), "Steward on the Roof" (2008), "Stewardocchio" (2009), and "Snow White and the Seven Stewards" (2010).
